Infielder Kyle Farmer has secured a $3.25 million guaranteed amount in his one-year contract with the Colorado Rockies, along with the chance to earn up to $1.25 million in performance bonuses based on his plate appearances next season.

Farmer will earn a salary of $2.5 million for the upcoming season as part of the deal announced on Saturday. The contract also includes a mutual option for 2026 worth $4 million, which can be bought out for $750,000.

Farmer has the opportunity to earn bonuses for plate appearances in 2025. He would get $125,000 each for reaching 200 and 350 plate appearances, $150,000 for 400 and 450, $200,000 for 500, and $500,000 for 550.

This announcement came a day after the Rockies decided not to offer a contract to Brendan Rodgers for 2025, making him a free agent.
