The Atlanta Falcons will be without eight players for their game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, including several key defenders.
Cornerback Mike Hughes (neck) and nickel back Dee Alford (hamstring) were ruled out on the Friday injury report, along with backup nickel Antonio Hamilton Sr. (pectoral).
Inside linebacker Troy Andersen (knee) will miss another game after re-injuring a knee problem that had already kept him out for five games. Rookie linebacker JD Bertrand (concussion) will sit out his third straight game.
On the defensive line, Ta’Quon Graham (pectoral) and James Smith-Williams (tibia) are also out. Both players have appeared in all 10 games this season, with Smith-Williams starting five of them.
Tight end Charlie Woerner (concussion) will also miss the game.
However, the Falcons received some positive news. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney (Achilles tendon) was removed from the injury report, and center Drew Dalman will return after missing the last seven games due to an ankle injury.
Additionally, quarterback Kirk Cousins, who had been dealing with a sore shoulder and elbow, was cleared to play after practicing without any issues on Thursday and Friday.
