Inter Miami CF announced on Friday that they have signed midfielder Telasco Segovia from Casa Pia AC, a top Portuguese team. The 21-year-old Venezuelan international has signed a contract with the club through the 2029 MLS season.
Segovia brings a strong record to the team, with 9 goals and 20 assists in 108 professional matches. He started his career at Venezuela’s Deportivo Lara before moving to Italian club Sampdoria and later Casa Pia in Portugal.
On the international stage, Segovia has one goal in eight appearances for Venezuela. He played in the 2024 Copa América and is also part of the team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
“We’re excited to sign a promising young midfielder like Telasco Segovia,” said Raúl Sanllehí, Inter Miami’s president of football operations. “He will add quality depth to our midfield, which is important for the 2025 season, as Inter Miami will be competing in several tournaments both in the U.S. and internationally.”
Segovia will join a strong Miami midfield that already includes Spanish legend Sergio Busquets from FC Barcelona, as well as rising stars Benjamin Cremaschi and Federico Redondo.
Segovia is the fifth new addition to Miami’s roster this offseason. The club also signed forwards Fafà Picault (MLS free agency) and Tadeo Allende (loan from Celta de Vigo), defender Gonzalo Luján (transfer from San Lorenzo), and goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo (loan from Lanús).
“I’m happy to be at a great club like Inter Miami. I arrive with aspirations of helping the team win several titles, contributing both offensively and defensively,” said Segovia. “I am looking to exploit my potential and continue growing in this great institution and in this highly competitive league that MLS is. It is a dream to be here and I’m excited to achieve great things with Inter Miami.”
