Jairzinho Rozenstruik explains why he isn’t calling anyone out following TKO win over Shamil Gaziev: “Who’s available? Let’s get in”

Fresh off his TKO victory over Shamil Gaziev, Jairzinho Rozenstruik is riding high. While he refrains from calling out opponents, he isn’t shy about mentioning some notable fighters.

The headlining bout between Rozenstruik and Gaziev at a recent UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas showcased Rozenstruik’s dominance, earning him the win before the fifth round. This win was crucial for Rozenstruik, who had struggled with a 2-3 record in his last five fights leading up to this match.

Looking ahead, Rozenstruik approaches his next fight with humility. “When I’d like to fight next would be close to July or August,” he stated.

“Who I want to fight? You know what it is. I never say a name because then when that person doesn’t have time to fight, then you’re stuck out of the game. That’s why I never called someone out. There’s a couple of names I didn’t face yet. For example, Tai Tuivasa, Derrick (Lewis), Serghei Spivac, and someone else, Tom Aspinall. Name it. But I never call someone out because I don’t want to wait on their time. I want to be in shape, come back. Who’s available? Let’s get in.”

It remains to be seen who will step up to face Rozenstruik in his second bout of 2024. Matched against an unknown and previously undefeated heavyweight in Gaziev, there’s speculation whether the UFC will pit him against another rising star or a familiar face from the rankings. Regardless, Rozenstruik can take comfort in knowing he’s back in the winner’s circle.
