Jake Paul successfully hit the 200-pound weight limit on his second try for his upcoming fight against Mike Perry, set for Saturday at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Initially, Paul weighed in at 200.4 pounds but returned shortly after to meet the cruiser weight requirement exactly at 200 pounds.
Before this, Paul was reportedly aiming to weigh around 230 pounds for a previously postponed fight with Mike Tyson. After his weigh-in, he left the stage looking drained and shouted to the crowd with a hoarse voice, saying he was “Totally dialed in.”
Meanwhile, Perry comfortably made weight for his boxing debut after a career in UFC and bare-knuckle boxing.
In other weigh-ins, Amanda Serrano came in comfortably under the junior welterweight limit at 136 pounds. She’s aiming for a smooth fight with Stevie Morgan, hoping it sets her up for a rematch with Katie Taylor later in 2024.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr also made weight under the cruiserweight limit for his bout against MMA fighter Uriah Hall, who is stepping into the boxing ring for only the second time in his professional career.
