Quarterback Jayden Daniels is approaching Wednesday’s Pro Day differently from his LSU teammate Malik Nabers.
While Nabers plans to showcase his speed in the 40-yard dash and demonstrate his receiving skills by running routes, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Media states that Daniels will solely focus on throwing passes during the event.
Daniels also chose not to participate in the 40-yard dash and other drills at the Scouting Combine.
In terms of meeting with teams, Daniels is following a separate path from Nabers. While Nabers had dinner with the Giants and met with several other teams on Tuesday, Daniels did not schedule any meetings with teams until after Wednesday’s workout.
Although Caleb Williams has long been projected as the potential first pick in April’s draft, Daniels and Drake Maye are commonly regarded as top contenders for the second pick, although betting markets have recently favored J.J. McCarthy.
