Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels has firmly refuted rumors suggesting that his camp is opposed to him joining the New England Patriots.
The rumors emerged following a report by NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry, which raised questions about Daniels’ suitability for playing in New England and suggested that his camp would prefer him not to end up in the Northeast. Daniels swiftly responded to the speculation on social media platform X with an emoji of a cap, indicating disbelief in the rumors.
Denise White, Daniels’ agent, also addressed the rumor on X, stating unequivocally that the rumors were inaccurate and urging reporters to verify facts before spreading rumors.
At the NFL combine, Daniels had conversations with several teams, including the Giants, Broncos, Raiders, Saints, Commanders, and the Patriots. Despite the speculation, Daniels emphasized that his priority is to land in a situation where he feels supported and can succeed.
“The best situation is whoever believes in me,” Daniels asserted. “Someone is going to take a chance on me and say this kid can change our organization, our franchise, be the face of the franchise. So… the main thing is just supporting me. And, if they call my name, they believe in supporting me.”
