Kicker Joey Slye has secured a new destination for the upcoming 2024 season. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Slye has officially joined the Jacksonville Jaguars on a one-year contract.
Previously with the Commanders, Slye’s move finalizes a kicker exchange between the two franchises. Following Brandon McManus’s departure from Jacksonville last week, Slye steps in to fill the role.
During his tenure with Washington last season, Slye achieved a 19-of-24 success rate on field goals and converted 32-of-35 extra point attempts. Throughout his career, he has maintained an impressive 82.3 percent field goal accuracy and an 88.5 percent success rate on extra points.
With Riley Patterson also on the Jaguars’ roster, the team now boasts a competitive duo of kickers vying for the starting position this upcoming season.
