John Cena is currently promoting his comedy film “Ricky Stanicky,” recently released on Prime Video, but a recent appearance on a sports talk show took a surprising turn toward NFL superstar Tom Brady.
During his visit to “First Take,” Cena entertained the idea of a buddy comedy featuring him and the former New England Patriots quarterback. Host Ryan Clark even painted a vivid picture of Cena being Brady’s muse, given their shared connections.
Clark pointed out that Cena hails from Massachusetts, where the Patriots play at Gillette Stadium, while Brady spent years with the team. Interestingly, both now reside in Tampa, Florida, where Cena lives in a gated community and Brady played for the Buccaneers before retiring.
This led to speculation about Brady’s move to Tampa, with some jokingly suggesting it was because of Cena’s presence. However, Cena dismissed this notion as “fan fiction,” albeit playfully, acknowledging the creative twist on their connection.
While Cena initially played down the idea, he left the door open for collaboration with Brady, teasing the possibility of a movie together. He humorously extended an invitation to Brady, emphasizing his availability and willingness to entertain any calls from the NFL legend.
Although a Cena-Brady comedy may seem unlikely, the exchange sparked discussions about the crossover between sports and entertainment, leaving fans intrigued about the potential for future collaborations.
