Edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue joined the Ravens practice squad on Monday, and on Wednesday, he mentioned that he feels ready to help the team immediately.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is not making any final decisions yet. On Friday, he said that Ngakoue “looks like he’s in shape,” but he pointed out that being in shape is different from being in football shape.
Harbaugh also mentioned that the team has other players available while Ngakoue gets back into form.
“We have a lot of good young players rushing the passer too,” Harbaugh said, according to the team’s website. “I think it’s just going to be him being ready, which I’m very confident he will be soon. And then the opportunity will present itself, and when it does, he’ll be out there and I think he’ll help us.”
The other edge rushers available in Baltimore are Odafe Oweh, Kyle Van Noy, David Ojabo, Tavius Robinson, and Adisa Isaac.
