Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are venturing into the culinary world with the launch of a new upscale steakhouse in town named 1587 Prime, paying homage to their respective jersey numbers.
TMZ Sports has unveiled further insights into the forthcoming downtown Kansas City establishment:
Set to sprawl across two stories and span an impressive 10,000 square feet, 1587 Prime will find its home within the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City.
Scheduled to welcome patrons in early 2025, the restaurant promises a luxurious ambiance, with a focal point being a lavish meat display. Additionally, subtle nods to the duo’s illustrious on-field achievements as Super Bowl champions will adorn the space.
Moreover, the establishment boasts a sprawling wine collection, anticipated to rank among the largest in the entire state.
Mahomes and Kelce have joined forces with Noble 33, a renowned global hospitality group, to bring this culinary vision to life.
The announcement of 1587 Prime follows hot on the heels of the Kansas City Chiefs clinching their third Super Bowl victory in five seasons, securing a triumphant 25-22 win against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.
Mahomes, earning his third Super Bowl MVP title, orchestrated a stellar performance, amassing 333 passing yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning pass to Mecole Hardman. Kelce, on the other hand, played a pivotal role in the victory, leading the team with nine receptions for 93 receiving yards.
