Kayvon Thibodeaux made significant progress in his second season. After tallying four sacks in his rookie year, the 2022 first-round pick increased his count to 11.5 sacks in the 2024 season.
During a recent press conference, Thibodeaux expressed his aim to surpass the achievements of former Giant Michael Strahan as a pass rusher because he believes it’s essential to strive for excellence beyond previous standards.
“Last year, I managed to get 11 and a half sacks,” Thibodeaux remarked.
“Those are the accomplishments. Now, it’s about gaining respect across the league, and instilling fear in opposing teams. I need to enhance every aspect of my game to the next level. Greatness is a choice. I just need to take that next step.”
This season, Thibodeaux will have Brian Burns as his teammate on the other edge, which should draw more attention from blockers and provide more opportunities to demonstrate his potential in the NFL.
