Quarterback Kellen Mond, although not a part of this year’s draft prospects, is set to join some at the 49ers’ facility on Wednesday.
According to Matt Barrows of TheAthletic.com, Mond will be participating in a workout for the team, alongside other prospects from San Francisco for their local Pro Day.
Previously drafted by the Vikings in the third round of the 2021 draft, Mond made a single appearance for them as a rookie.
His performance included completing 2-of-3 passes for five yards. However, he didn’t secure a spot on the team the following year. In 2022, he was with the Browns but didn’t play, and last year, he was on the Colts’ practice squad.
Currently, the 49ers’ quarterback depth chart lists Brock Purdy as the starter, backed up by Joshua Dobbs and Brandon Allen.
