Warren Foegele scored early in the third period to give the Los Angeles Kings a 3-2 comeback win over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.
Foegele netted his seventh goal of the season with a wraparound goal at 2:22 in the third period, breaking a 2-2 tie and extending the Kings’ winning streak to four games.
Foegele and Tanner Jeannot each recorded a goal and an assist, and Joel Edmundson also scored for Los Angeles, which improved to 9-2-1 at home. David Rittich made 26 saves.
Wyatt Johnston and Mason Marchment scored for Dallas, which saw its three-game win streak end. Jake Oettinger made 14 saves for the Stars, who had won the previous four games against Los Angeles.
Dallas took a 1-0 lead at 2:34 in the first period when Johnston scored on a power play, poking in his own rebound for his fifth goal of the season.
Marchment extended the lead to 2-0 later in the first period. He took advantage of a Kings turnover in their zone, firing a wrist shot from the top of the slot past a screened Rittich.
The Kings responded to tie the game 2-2 in the second period. Jeannot scored off his own rebound for his third goal of the season. Edmundson then fired a one-timer from the left point that deflected off defenseman Miro Heiskanen and went in for Edmundson’s fourth goal.
Foegele scored the game-winner early in the third period after receiving the puck from Jeannot behind the net and beating Oettinger with a wraparound shot.
