Kylian Mbappe has reportedly engaged in discussions with two players in anticipation of his anticipated move to Real Madrid.
In February, it was widely reported that Mbappe had reached an agreement to join Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old purportedly informed PSG of his decision to depart, with his contract set to expire in June.
While the formalities of the deal with Real are yet to be finalized, the announcement is expected to coincide with the conclusion of this season’s Champions League campaign to avoid potential conflicts.
According to the BBC, Mbappe is poised to sign a lucrative five-year contract with Real, entailing an annual salary of £12.8 million and a £128 million signing bonus disbursed over five years. Additionally, Mbappe will retain a share of his image rights.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly strategized how to integrate Mbappe into his squad, envisioning Jude Bellingham in a deeper midfield role alongside Vinicius Jr on the left flank, while deploying Mbappe as a central striker.
In preparation for his move, Marca has reported that Mbappe has engaged in dialogue with two figures associated with Real Madrid.
The French forward is said to have maintained regular communication with Real icon and current Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos, with whom he shares a strong bond forged during their tenure at the Parc des Princes.
Furthermore, Mbappe is reported to have sought advice from Achraf Hakimi regarding daily life in Madrid. Hakimi, who emerged from Real Madrid’s academy and spent 15 years in the Spanish capital, provided insights into the transition.
Should Croatian midfielder Luka Modric depart this summer, Mbappe is expected to inherit the coveted number 10 shirt he adorns while representing France.
