The Las Vegas Raiders are considering trading their All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams for a package that includes a second-round draft pick and other compensation, according to reports. Adams, who was acquired from the Green Bay Packers in a major 2022 trade, missed his first game as a Raider recently due to a hamstring injury.

Despite sitting out the Raiders’ 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns, Adams was seen on the sidelines celebrating a teammate’s touchdown. Speculation about his future with the team intensified after Raiders coach Antonio Pierce’s Instagram account liked a post suggesting Adams may have played his last game for Las Vegas, though the like was later removed.

Adams addressed the situation during an appearance on the “Up & Adams Show,” stating he had not spoken to coach Pierce about the social media incident. When asked if he believes he has played his last game with the Raiders, Adams remained non-committal, saying he could only control the present conversation and whatever came next.

Trade rumors have swirled around Adams in recent months, especially with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers now playing for the New York Jets. However, Adams’ agents previously denied any validity to these rumors.

Despite the ongoing trade chatter, neither Adams nor key Raiders personnel have commented publicly on the latest developments. Adams’ current salary is $17.5 million, with $13.5 million still owed this season, and his salary is set to increase to $36.25 million for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Any team interested in acquiring Adams would likely need to negotiate a new contract structure. His future with the Raiders remains uncertain as trade discussions continue, with Adams scheduled to speak to local media soon.

Adams has drawn attention this season not only for his play but also for his candid comments on the Netflix series “Receiver,” where he vented frustrations about the physical toll of the game. After a particularly tough game against the New England Patriots, Adams expressed concern about his well-being on the field.

While his comments raised eyebrows, especially since they were included in the series with his permission, Raiders coach Pierce downplayed the significance of the remarks, stating that Adams had signed up for the show and couldn’t erase what was said.

Adams’ time with the Raiders has been tumultuous, marked by quarterback changes and a reunion with former college teammate Derek Carr that lasted only one season before Carr was released in 2023. Since Carr’s departure, Adams has worked with multiple quarterbacks, including Jimmy Garoppolo and several backups.

Despite the challenges, Adams has remained productive, recording 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown in three games this season, and totaling 221 catches, 2,869 yards, and 23 touchdowns over his 37 games with the Raiders.
