Last year, Tyrese Haliburton was one of two Indiana Pacers players to make it to the final round of the three-point contest. After falling short, the All-Star point guard is eager for redemption in 2024.

Amidst his breakout season with the Pacers, Haliburton recently discussed various topics with QG. Among them was All-Star weekend and his desire to participate as much as possible, particularly eyeing a return to the three-point contest.

“I plan to be involved in All-Star Weekend as much as I can,” Haliburton stated. “I plan on going back to the Three Point Contest. I should have won last year and I choked!”

As of now, this year’s participants have not been announced. With his strong performance this season—shooting 39.7% from beyond the arc on eight attempts per game—Haliburton has a compelling case for selection once again.

How did Tyrese Haliburton fare in the 2023 three-point contest?

In his debut appearance in the event, Tyrese Haliburton put on a solid performance in last year’s three-point contest. Alongside teammate Buddy Hield, he advanced to the final three.

Joining them in the final was Damian Lillard. The Milwaukee Bucks star, then with his former team, showcased his prowess in the last round to claim victory.

Hield kicked off the final round with an impressive score of 25. Despite a tense finish, Lillard managed to edge out Hield with a score of 26, sinking four of his last five shots.

Haliburton had the opportunity to seize the win in the final round. However, he faced difficulties in the first two racks, putting himself at a disadvantage. While he rallied in the latter part of the round, it wasn’t enough to surpass Lillard’s score.
