Damian Lillard continued his impressive scoring streak, recording his third consecutive game with at least 30 points. However, it was his defensive plays that made a significant impact in the Milwaukee Bucks’ victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

Lillard contributed 30 points and 12 assists, showcasing his all-around skills on the court. His two late steals proved crucial, especially the first one that led to the decisive basket after the Nets had rallied from a 20-point deficit to take the lead.

Despite missing two games due to a hamstring issue, Giannis Antetokounmpo returned strong with 21 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.

He emphasized the importance of dealing with unexpected challenges and continuing to push through adversity.

The Bucks opted to rest Khris Middleton to manage his workload as he recovers from a sprained ankle. Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges led the Nets with 24 points, followed by Nic Claxton with 22 and Cam Thomas with 21.

Although the Nets staged a comeback to briefly take the lead, Lillard’s defensive prowess turned the tide in Milwaukee’s favor. He made crucial steals and assisted Malik Beasley for a crucial 3-pointer, securing the Bucks’ victory. Coach Doc Rivers praised Lillard’s defensive performance, highlighting his competitive spirit throughout the game.
