Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly hired a bodyguard and private detective due to ongoing harassment from a female stalker, as per reports.
The England international is currently sidelined with a recurring knee injury, having previously missed four games due to similar issues in January. The unwanted visits from the woman have allegedly occurred at Alexander-Arnold’s residence, Liverpool’s training ground, and his favorite dining spots, according to The Sun.
To prevent the stalker from tracking his movements, Alexander-Arnold has been advised against sharing his daily activities on social media and has changed his phone number.
Security measures, including CCTV cameras and alarms, have been implemented at his home, while his mail is being screened following the receipt of explicit letters and materials.
Alexander-Arnold’s family members have also reportedly received inappropriate messages. Liverpool management has been informed of the situation, and a source close to Alexander-Arnold described the ordeal as “more than a year of hell.”
Despite the challenges, the footballer has remained focused on his on-field performances. Liverpool is scheduled to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday (February 25).
