Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow was put on the 15-day injured list on Friday due to right elbow tendinitis.

This is the second time this season that the 31-year-old right-hander has been on the injured list.

Glasnow has a record of 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA in 22 starts during his first season with the Dodgers. He has achieved a career-high 168 strikeouts in 134 innings and has limited opponents to a .190 batting average.

Glasnow, who was traded from Tampa Bay last December, was named to his first All-Star team in July. In his last game on Sunday at Pittsburgh, he didn’t earn a decision despite pitching seven innings and allowing two runs on 98 pitches.

The Dodgers recalled left-hander Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Friday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Before the game, the Dodgers had a two-game lead in the NL West over Arizona and San Diego.

In other injury news, the Dodgers sent utilityman Chris Taylor on a rehab assignment to Oklahoma City.
