Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Brusdar Graterol had his season debut cut short on Tuesday night when he injured his right hamstring while facing his third batter from the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth inning.
After throwing his eighth pitch, Graterol grabbed his right leg and bent over in pain. He was helped off the field by third baseman Kiké Hernández and a trainer, and he was limping and teary-eyed.
Graterol had just returned from the 60-day injured list on Monday after missing the first half of the season due to right shoulder inflammation.
He had retired Bryce Harper with a flyout before Alec Bohm hit a single. Graterol was injured while facing J.T. Realmuto, with the Phillies leading 1-0 at the time.
