Luka Dončić led the Dallas Mavericks to a 113-97 victory over the Utah Jazz on Thursday night, pushing them into the sixth playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Doncic contributed 34 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, showcasing his versatility on the court. This win marks the Mavericks’ third consecutive victory and their seventh in eight games, strengthening their position in the playoff race.
Despite a strong performance from Doncic, he didn’t record any rebounds or assists in the fourth quarter. Daniel Gafford stood out with 24 points, displaying his ability to finish plays effectively.
Kyrie Irving chipped in with 16 points, contributing to the team’s collective effort. The Jazz, on the other hand, struggled with their shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, making only 4 of 30 attempts.
Despite a solid performance from Lauri Markkanen, who scored 21 points in his return from injury, and Collin Sexton added 20 points off the bench, the Jazz couldn’t overcome the Mavericks’ strong performance.
