Following the conclusion of UFC Vegas 88, Marcin Tybura expressed his strong belief that Tai Tuivasa deserves the chance to prolong his journey with the premier mixed martial arts organization. Speaking during the post-fight press conference, Tybura emphasized his support for Tuivasa’s continued presence in the UFC, despite the latter’s recent string of losses (via MMAMania.com).
Tybura’s sentiments were clear as he articulated his perspective on Tuivasa’s situation. “I think there are other fighters who have faced more defeats, yet the UFC retains them because they bring entertainment value,” Tybura conveyed to reporters. “And I believe Tai deserves the same consideration. He consistently delivers exciting fights that fans adore. When you’re a showman, you should be afforded more opportunities to showcase your skills.”

The Polish fighter further emphasized his stance, stating, “I still believe he has a place in this sport. While some argue for a rigid rule regarding fighters with four consecutive losses, I believe each case is unique. In my view, Tai still has much to offer and deserves another chance.”
Tuivasa’s last victory in the UFC dates back to February 2022 when he secured a remarkable second-round knockout against Derrick Lewis, marking a pivotal moment in his professional MMA career. Despite this triumph, Tuivasa has encountered setbacks since then. However, he has previously demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity, asserting that he’s no stranger to overcoming challenges.
As discussions surrounding Tuivasa’s future in the UFC persist, it remains to be seen whether the organization will afford him another opportunity to compete on its prestigious platform.
