Maria Sharapova has expressed her admiration for English fashion designer and singer Victoria Beckham, who despite suffering a foot injury, successfully presented her latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Since retiring from professional tennis in 2020, Sharapova has delved into various endeavors including entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and fashion. Meanwhile, Beckham, renowned for her time in the Spice Girls, has carved a niche for herself as a respected fashion designer and entrepreneur.
Despite breaking her foot during a workout earlier in the week, Beckham showcased her Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, bravely walking the runway with the aid of crutches.
Taking to Instagram, Sharapova shared a photo of herself with Beckham before the show, expressing her admiration for Beckham’s resilience. In the image, Beckham can be seen sporting an ankle walking boot on her left leg.
“Nothing stopping VB, even a broken foot!! Excited to see your beautiful creations this evening,” Sharapova wrote. She also commended Beckham, who is married to soccer legend David Beckham, for her determination, highlighting how Beckham walked the entire length of the runway post-show on crutches.
