Marseille has agreed in principle with French midfielder Adrien Rabiot to join the team.
“The player will join OM subject to the results of a medical,” the nine-time French champion said on Sunday.
Rabiot, 29, has been a free agent after choosing not to extend his contract with Juventus, where he played for five seasons.
Before Juventus, Rabiot played for Marseille’s rival Paris Saint-Germain.
He was born in the Val-de-Marne area of Paris and joined PSG’s academy at 15.
Rabiot has appeared 48 times for France and played in Euro 2024, where France lost to Spain in the semifinals.
Marseille did not disclose the details of the deal, but the newspaper l’Equipe reported that Rabiot is expected to sign a two-year contract.
