Ohio State’s Pro Day is underway, but the Buckeyes’ standout prospect, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., has opted not to participate in the workouts, according to Albert Breer.

This decision mirrors his choice not to take part in the Scouting Combine as well. Harrison seems to believe that his performance on the field during his college career provides the most accurate representation of his abilities for NFL teams to assess.

His rationale is understandable: By abstaining from certain drills, such as the 40-yard dash, Harrison avoids potentially unfavorable comparisons with other top wide receiver prospects in the draft.

Currently, Harrison is considered the frontrunner to be selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the fourth overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. Nonetheless, he remains cognizant that any underwhelming results from workouts could potentially impact his draft stock negatively.

In Harrison’s view, abstaining from workouts altogether is a safer bet to maintain his current standing and avoid unnecessary risks that could potentially lower his draft stock.
