Matt Riddle found himself out of WWE following the company’s merger with UFC to create TKO Group Holdings. Since then, the Original Bro has been navigating a different path, and in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, he shed light on the advantages of his new journey.
Riddle’s departure from WWE came amidst controversy in September 2023, following an incident at JFK International Airport after the Superstar Spectacle event in India. However, fans have witnessed him resurface in various independent promotions after his WWE stint.
Reflecting on his upcoming endeavors, Riddle shared with Chris Van Vliet his packed schedule for 2024, which included appearances in MLW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and reunions with familiar faces like Zack Sabre Jr. and Jeff Cobb.
“I’m starting 2024 out hot. It’s been good. Did MLW, a bunch of signings in New York City, and then the following week wrestled for New Japan, made my New Japan debut, got to wrestle Zack Sabre [Jr.] again … Jeff Cobb, the Chosen Bros were reunited,” said Matt Riddle.
Despite his busy calendar, Riddle acknowledged that his current workload doesn’t match the intensity of his WWE days. “I’m not as busy [as I was in WWE],” he remarked.
