Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez secured the top two positions in qualifying for Sunday’s Japanese GP. Verstappen has been a dominant force in recent races, but he’s feeling uneasy about his chances this time.

Despite his strong performance in qualifying, Verstappen is concerned about his car’s performance during long runs. He believes Ferrari has an advantage in this respect for the Japanese GP.

Verstappen expressed his dissatisfaction with himself and the team’s tire degradation, which was a strength last season but seems to be lacking this year.

In response, Verstappen requested changes to the car setup, but it affected his confidence during the qualifying session.
