The Cowboys managed to make the score look better against the Ravens on Sunday, but for most of the game, they appeared just as confused as they had in their two previous home losses.
After allowing over 400 yards in last season’s playoff defeat to the Packers, the Cowboys have started this season by giving up 888 yards in losses to New Orleans and Baltimore.
Out of those, 464 yards have been on the ground, and their ongoing struggles make it hard to believe that improvement is coming soon.
Defensive end Micah Parsons isn’t giving up on the team, though. He shared on The Edge podcast that he trusts defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer to help turn things around.
“I would say the start of the season has been extremely humbling,” Parsons said. “We fell short after not starting great, didn’t put ourselves in the best situations. I would still say I’m still positive because everyone is still coming in, Zim, we’re going to get better. We’re going to keep learning. We’re going to keep growing.”
The Cowboys won’t have much time to dwell on their loss to Baltimore as they face the Giants on Thursday. After that, they’ll play against Pittsburgh and then host the Lions before their Week Seven bye, so there’s little time for the team to demonstrate the progress Parsons believes they can achieve.
