Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed his Pro Day workout on Thursday and is now moving forward with the next step of the pre-draft process.
Next week, Penix plans to visit several teams as he continues to showcase himself as a top pick in the upcoming draft. According to ESPN, he will meet with the Giants, Falcons, Raiders, Broncos, and Steelers.
While the Giants, Raiders, and Broncos have long been considered potential landing spots for quarterbacks, the Falcons and Steelers have been less frequently mentioned.
The Falcons recently signed Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal, but with him being 36 and recovering from an Achilles injury, they may be interested in developing another quarterback.
As for the Steelers, they acquired Russell Wilson and Justin Fields this offseason, but neither has a contract beyond this season, making it sensible for them to consider adding another quarterback to their roster.
