Miami Marlins shortstop Xavier Edwards had to leave the game against the Chicago Cubs on Friday night due to lower back discomfort.
Edwards had a single in his first at-bat and stole second base. He played the field in the second inning but was replaced by Vidal Brujan when his turn came up again in the third inning.

On July 28, Edwards hit for the cycle against Milwaukee, making him the second player in Marlins history to achieve this.
