Le’Veon Moss rushed for a career-best 138 yards and scored three touchdowns, helping No. 25 Texas A&M defeat ninth-ranked Missouri 41-10 on Saturday, giving them their first loss of the season.

This win marks Texas A&M’s fifth consecutive victory (5-1, 3-0 SEC) under first-year coach Mike Elko, following a loss to Notre Dame in his first game with the team.

The Aggies led 24-0 at halftime and increased their lead when Moss ran for a 75-yard touchdown on the very first play of the third quarter. He found a gap in the line, avoided a tackle, and sprinted past everyone for his second score.

When he scored his third touchdown with an 18-yard run early in the fourth quarter, making the score 41-7, the crowd of 97,049 began chanting: “over-rated, over-rated.”

Brady Cook passed for 186 yards and one touchdown for Missouri (4-1, 1-1), which was playing its first away game of the year.

Conner Weigman returned from an injury to his throwing shoulder and threw for 276 yards, while Amari Daniels contributed two rushing touchdowns.

The game’s tone was set early when Missouri was stopped on fourth-and-2 during their opening drive, giving Texas A&M the ball at their own 40. Cook’s pass to Theo Wease was deflected, and a penalty flag was thrown but later picked up, resulting in no penalty.

A 25-yard run by Daniels took Texas A&M to the 1-yard line, and he scored on the next play to put the Aggies up 7-0.

Texas A&M was ahead 10-0 when Luther Burden III appeared to score on a 75-yard reception, but it was called back due to an illegal receiver downfield penalty on the Tigers.

Another 1-yard touchdown run by Daniels increased the lead to 17-0 early in the second quarter.

The Aggies then executed an 11-play, 88-yard drive, featuring a 40-yard catch by Jahdae Walker and finished off with a 1-yard run by Moss, extending their lead to 24-0.
