Bristol Motor Speedway is preparing to host a Major League Baseball game next season.
According to someone familiar with the schedule who spoke to The Associated Press, the historic NASCAR venue will feature a game between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds on August 2, 2025.
This information was shared anonymously since the game has not been officially announced yet.
Track officials and Speedway Motorsports, the track’s owner, will hold a press conference on Friday to reveal Bristol’s schedule for 2025.
The track, known for its thrilling NASCAR races since it opened over 60 years ago, has also hosted other sports events.
In 1961, it was the site of an NFL exhibition game between Philadelphia and Washington. In 2016, it hosted two college football games in consecutive weeks featuring Tennessee against Virginia Tech and East Tennessee against Western Carolina.
