Renowned as one of the draft’s premier cornerbacks, Wiggins has secured a position within the top 25 on Mel Kiper Jr.’s recent Big Board rankings.

Following a stellar conclusion to his junior season, Wiggins is poised to vie for the coveted top cornerback spot during the pre-draft evaluation process. Simultaneously, Clemson wide receiver Beaux Collins conveyed to ESPN on Thursday that he is entering the transfer portal. Collins, having amassed 38 receptions for 510 yards and three touchdowns in the current season, is set to be immediately eligible for play in 2024.

Hailing from Atlanta, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Wiggins emerged as one of the nation’s standout cornerbacks this season, positioning himself as a strong contender for the top cornerback draft spot. His attributes, including speed and length, are anticipated to make him a formidable presence at the upcoming NFL combine. Wiggins concluded the season on a high note, delivering a compelling performance against North Carolina on Nov. 18, featuring a forced fumble, interception, deflected pass, and seven tackles.

Confident in his abilities, Wiggins asserted to ESPN, “I feel like I’m the fastest, and I feel like I’m the most complete corner in the draft.” His track record at Clemson attests to his productivity, with 14 pass deflections in 2022 and notable contributions, including eight breakups and two interceptions, in 2023.

Acknowledging the support and development he received at Clemson, Wiggins expressed gratitude to the coaching staff, including head coach Dabo Swinney, Woody McCorvey, and cornerback coach Mike Reed. He emphasized the transformative impact of his time at Clemson, attributing much of his growth to the nurturing environment provided by the coaching team.

In a heartfelt acknowledgment, Wiggins extended his thanks to his mother, Tamika Lucas Baker, recognizing her pivotal role in guiding him to this significant moment. Reflecting on the rapid realization of his dream, he commended his mother for her unwavering support during challenging times and her steadfast belief in his potential.
