Payton Pritchard came off the bench to score 27 points and dish out 10 assists, leading the Boston Celtics to a 123-99 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday.
Pritchard made 10 of 20 shots, including 7 of 15 from beyond the arc.
Derrick White contributed 23 points, and Kristaps Porzingis added 19 points, helping the Celtics extend their winning streak against the Pistons to 12 games.
Rookie Ronald Holland II scored a career-high 26 points for the Pistons, who struggled with their 3-point shooting, making only 7 of 37 attempts (18.9 percent). Detroit’s Cade Cunningham had 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Kings 111, Pelicans 109
Domantas Sabonis posted 32 points and 20 rebounds, and DeMar DeRozan scored 16 of his 29 points in the third quarter to help the Sacramento Kings defeat the New Orleans Pelicans.
DeAaron Fox and Keegan Murray each scored 18 points for the Kings, who outscored the Pelicans 38-28 in the third quarter.
CJ McCollum led the Pelicans with 36 points, while Trey Murphy III scored 21, and Dejounte Murray added 20 points.
Heat 114, Raptors 104
Bam Adebayo led the Miami Heat with 21 points and a game-high 16 rebounds in their victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Miami, which has now won four games in a row, also got 23 points from Tyler Herro and key contributions from the bench, with Nikola Jovic scoring 14 points and Dru Smith adding 11 points.
Raptors’ RJ Barrett struggled, making only 5 of 18 shots, but still managed a triple-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Gradey Dick led Toronto with 22 points, including 12 in the first quarter, and Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 16 points.
