Mavericks star Kyrie Irving contributed 27 points and 6 assists, while P.J. Washington added 21 points and 10 rebounds. However, Dallas played without their top scorer, Luka Dončić, who was out with a wrist injury.
The Heat, who hadn’t played since Monday, received double-doubles from Bam Adebayo (19 points, 11 rebounds) and Tyler Herro (18 points, 10 rebounds).
Miami took the lead for good when Adebayo hit a 3-pointer to make it 120-118 with 2:54 left in overtime. Dallas failed to make any of their last seven shots.
