Bronny James and Lebron James in the 1st half of the game

LeBron James and Bronny James made history as the first father and son to play together in the NBA on Tuesday night during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 110-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 39-year-old superstar and his 20-year-old son played nearly 2 1/2 minutes together late in the first half of Bronny’s NBA debut. They are also the first father and son to play in the NBA at the same time and on the same team.

LeBron scored 16 points, while Anthony Davis had a strong game with 36 points and 16 rebounds for the Lakers. Rui Hachimura contributed 18 points.

For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards scored 27 points, and the team is coming off its best season in 20 years.

Julius Randle scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Donte DiVincenzo added 10 points in their first games with the Timberwolves after the trade that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to New York three weeks ago.

Dalton Knecht scored five points in the debut of the Lakers’ first-round draft pick.
