The New England Revolution has signed midfielder Jackson Yueill to a three-year contract through the 2027 MLS season, with options for 2028 and 2029. Yueill, a Minnesota native, spent his first eight seasons with the San Jose Earthquakes. He has earned 16 caps with the United States Men’s National Team and brings vast MLS experience to New England.
Veteran MLS Player Joins the Revolution
Yueill has made 210 MLS regular season appearances, all with the Earthquakes. He served as their captain since 2021, consistently being a reliable central midfielder. In 2024, he matched his career-high of 32 regular season appearances, scoring one goal and adding two assists. He has accumulated 232 total appearances across all competitions for San Jose.
The Revolution’s Sporting Director, Curt Onalfo, praised Yueill for his leadership and MLS experience. With his years as a captain, Yueill’s leadership qualities and professionalism are expected to make a significant impact on the team. His durability and ability to dictate the tempo of matches are expected to bring added value to New England’s midfield.
International Experience with U.S. National Team
On the international stage, Yueill has made 16 appearances with the U.S. Men’s National Team. He featured in the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League and both the 2021 and 2023 Concacaf Gold Cups. His international debut came in June 2019, adding to his extensive experience in youth national teams at various levels.
Yueill was a Generation Adidas signing and was selected in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft’s first round. He played two seasons at UCLA, earning All-PAC-12 First Team honors both years. Prior to his MLS career, Yueill spent time on loan with Reno 1868 in the USL Championship. His solid college career and early professional experience paved the way for his success in MLS.
