Two young NFL stars were injured during Thursday night’s game as Giants receiver Malik Nabers suffered a concussion and Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons hurt his ankle.

“It was a banger today,” said Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs after Dallas won 20-15. “A lot of guys got banged up. It shows the fight and the resilience we have.”

Nabers, who was the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, got hurt with 3:30 left in the game when he fell hard near the New York sideline while trying to catch a fourth-down pass from Daniel Jones. He seemed to catch the ball at first but lost it while being covered by Diggs.

“It looked like he did from my view on it,” Jones said when asked if he thought Nabers made the catch. “I mean, he played a heck of a game again and he showed up for us big time, so we’ll keep trusting him with it.”

Giants trainers and doctors rushed to Nabers as he lay on the field, and he was ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion. He had 12 catches for 115 yards, marking his second straight game with over 10 catches and at least 100 yards.

Giants coach Brian Daboll hadn’t seen Nabers before his press conference after the game, so he couldn’t provide an update on his status.

Parsons was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after he had already returned from an earlier ankle injury during the game. He made two tackles, including one for a loss, helping Dallas end a two-game losing streak, but he did not record a sack for the third consecutive game.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy hadn’t spoken to the trainers after the game and couldn’t comment on the severity of Parsons’ injury.

Parsons was limping around the locker room after the game.

“We won’t know more until tomorrow,” Parsons said, mentioning he would have an X-ray on Friday. “We have no idea.”
