Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush threw for two touchdowns while his team scored two more on kick returns, helping Dallas defeat the Washington Commanders 34-26 in a thrilling fourth quarter on Sunday afternoon in Landover, Md.
With Washington trailing 27-20, quarterback Jayden Daniels threw an 86-yard touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin with 21 seconds left in the game, but Austin Seibert missed his second extra point, keeping the Commanders from tying the game.
The Cowboys’ Juanyeh Thomas then returned an onside kick 43 yards for a touchdown, finishing the scoring.
Rush completed 24 of 32 passes for 247 yards. Dallas (4-7) ended a five-game losing streak. Rico Dowdle ran for 86 yards on 19 carries, and CeeDee Lamb caught 10 passes for 67 yards.
For Washington (7-5), Daniels threw for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown. McLaurin had five catches for 102 yards.
Vikings 30, Bears 27 (OT)
John Parker Romo made a 29-yard field goal to win the game for Minnesota in overtime, beating Chicago.
Romo’s game-winning kick came in his third career game for the Vikings (9-2), who won their fourth consecutive game. Sam Darnold completed 22 of 34 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Addison caught eight passes for a career-high 162 yards and a touchdown.
The overtime loss spoiled a great performance by Chicago’s rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, who threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns on 32 of 47 passing. He also had one interception.
Eagles 37, Rams 20
Saquon Barkley ran for 255 yards, including two long touchdown runs of 70 and 72 yards, to lead Philadelphia to a victory over Los Angeles in Inglewood, Calif.
Barkley also caught four passes for 47 yards, totaling 302 yards from scrimmage. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 15 of 22 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown, as the Eagles improved to 9-2, widening their lead in the NFC East.
Matthew Stafford passed for 243 yards and two touchdowns for the Rams (5-6), who fell behind in the NFC West race. Stafford was under constant pressure and was sacked five times.
Chiefs 30, Panthers 27
Patrick Mahomes threw three touchdown passes, and Spencer Shrader kicked a 31-yard field goal on the last play of the game to give Kansas City a win over Carolina in Charlotte.
The Chiefs (10-1) bounced back after their first loss of the season the previous week. Kansas City never trailed and used a 57-yard drive to get in position for the game-winning field goal.
Bryce Young threw for 263 yards and one touchdown for the Panthers (3-8), who saw their two-game win streak come to an end. Eddy Pineiro kicked four field goals.
Titans 32, Texans 27
Will Levis threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Chig Okonkwo in the fourth quarter to help Tennessee beat Houston.
Tony Pollard ran for 119 yards and a touchdown, while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine caught a touchdown pass as the Titans (3-8) won for the second time in their last seven games. Levis completed 18 of 24 passes for 278 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Houston (7-5) had a chance to tie the game but missed a 28-yard field goal with 1:53 left. The Texans got the ball back but were sacked in the end zone by Harold Landry. Quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for 247 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Lions 24, Colts 6
Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 90 yards and two touchdowns to help Detroit win its ninth straight game, beating Indianapolis.
Jared Goff threw for 269 yards, completing 26 of 36 passes. The Lions (10-1) extended their winning streak, their longest since 1934.
Anthony Richardson passed for 172 yards and rushed for 61 more for the Colts (5-7). Michael Pittman Jr. caught six passes for 96 yards, but Jonathan Taylor was limited to 35 yards rushing.
Dolphins 34, Patriots 15
Tua Tagovailoa threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns, leading Miami to an easy win over New England in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Jaylen Waddle caught eight passes for 144 yards and a touchdown, and Jonnu Smith had nine catches for 87 yards and a touchdown for the Dolphins (5-6), who won their third straight. Running back De’Von Achane caught two touchdown passes.
Drake Maye threw for 222 yards, one touchdown, and one interception for the Patriots (3-9), who have now lost 10 of their last 12 games in Miami.
Buccaneers 30, Giants 7
Baker Mayfield threw for 294 yards, leading Tampa Bay to a blowout win over New York, ending a four-game losing streak.
Wide receiver Mike Evans, back from injury, caught five passes for 68 yards. Bucky Irving ran for 87 yards and a touchdown and also caught six passes for 64 yards. The Buccaneers (5-6) led 23-0 at halftime.
Tommy DeVito, in his first start of the season for the Giants (2-9), struggled. He completed 21 of 31 passes for 189 yards, under heavy pressure and sacked four times.
Broncos 29, Raiders 19
Rookie quarterback Bo Nix threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns, leading Denver to a win over Las Vegas.
The Raiders (2-9) have now lost seven games in a row. The Broncos (7-5) completed a season-series sweep of the Raiders.
After the game, reports said Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew suffered a broken collarbone and will miss the rest of the season. Minshew was injured after being sacked by two Broncos defenders.
Packers 38, 49ers 10
Josh Jacobs ran for 106 yards and three touchdowns, and the Green Bay defense forced three turnovers to help the Packers beat San Francisco.
Green Bay (8-3) avenged last season’s playoff loss to the 49ers (5-6), who have now lost two straight games. Jordan Love passed for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Brandon Allen started at quarterback for the 49ers in place of Brock Purdy, who missed the game due to a shoulder injury. Allen completed 17 of 29 passes for 199 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Seahawks 16, Cardinals 6
Coby Bryant returned an interception 69 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter, helping Seattle defeat Arizona and tie for first place in the NFC West.
Geno Smith threw for 254 yards and one touchdown for the Seahawks (6-5), who won their second straight divisional game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught six passes for 77 yards, including a 46-yard catch that set up his own 3-yard touchdown.
Kyler Murray threw for 285 yards and one interception for the Cardinals (6-5). Tight end Trey McBride set career highs with 12 catches and 133 yards.
