With a playoff spot on the line, the Denver Broncos will wear their popular throwback uniforms when they face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

NFL teams are allowed to wear alternate or throwback uniforms up to three times each season. Earlier this year, the Broncos wore their throwback uniforms during a 34-18 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. They also wore an alternate uniform in a 41-32 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 13.

This Sunday, Jan. 5, at 2:25 p.m. MT on CBS, the Broncos will use their third and final chance to wear an alternate or throwback uniform, facing the Chiefs. If Denver wins or ties the game, they will secure a spot in the NFL playoffs.

The Broncos had already revealed their jersey colors for all 17 games earlier this year. For home games, they wore white once, blue once, throwbacks twice, and orange four times.

On the road, the Broncos wore their orange jerseys once against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. For their other eight road games, they wore white jerseys.

Denver will try to improve to 2-0 in their throwback uniforms on Sunday. A win over the Chiefs would give the Broncos a 10-7 record, their best since Peyton Manning’s retirement in 2016.
