Cole Perfetti scored his first career hat trick to help the Winnipeg Jets beat the Utah Hockey Club 5-2 at home on Friday night.
Nikolaj Ehlers reached 500 career points with a goal and two assists for the Jets, who bounced back from a 5-2 loss to Utah on Monday.
David Gustafsson also scored, Dylan DeMelo had two assists, and Connor Hellebuyck made 17 saves as Winnipeg picked up its fifth win in seven games.
Nick Schmaltz and Barrett Hayton scored for Utah, which had won three games in a row, including a 4-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. Clayton Keller had two assists, and Connor Ingram stopped 24 shots.
Stars 4, Golden Knights 3
Jason Robertson scored two goals and Jake Oettinger made 18 saves to lead Dallas to a 4-3 win over Vegas. Robertson’s two goals marked his second multigoal game of the season.
Roope Hintz and Jamie Benn also scored, and Matt Duchene, Wyatt Johnston, and Evgenii Dadonov each had two assists for the Stars, who moved into second place in the Central Division after the Minnesota Wild had the day off.
Jack Eichel scored two goals, Mark Stone had three assists, and Shea Theodore also scored for the Golden Knights, who lost for the fifth time in six games (1-4-1). Adin Hill made 23 saves.
Lightning 4, Blackhawks 3 (OT)
Nikita Kucherov scored a power-play goal just 58 seconds into overtime to lead Tampa Bay to a 4-3 win over Chicago. Kucherov had two assists earlier in the game and extended his point streak to 11 games, the longest active streak in the NHL.
Jake Guentzel tied the game late, Mitchell Chaffee and Nick Paul also scored, and Victor Hedman had two assists. Jonas Johansson made 11 saves as the Lightning extended their unbeaten streak to 11-0-1 in their last 12 games in Chicago.
The Blackhawks got goals from rookies Colton Dach, Frank Nazar, and Louis Crevier, who had a goal and an assist each. Arvid Soderblom made 36 saves for Chicago, which lost after blowing a 3-1 lead.
Islanders 3, Flyers 1
Anthony Duclair and Bo Horvat scored the tying and go-ahead goals in a 55-second span late in the first period to help New York defeat Philadelphia 3-1 in Elmont, N.Y.
Brock Nelson added a second-period goal for the Islanders, who won their third straight game and improved to 3-2-0 on a seven-game homestand. New York had also won three straight from January 5-11. Kyle Palmieri recorded two assists for the Islanders. Nelson had a two-point game, and Ilya Sorokin made 29 saves in goal.
Tyson Foerster scored for the Flyers, and goalie Ivan Fedotov stopped 24 shots. Philadelphia lost for the second consecutive night after a six-game point streak (5-0-1), following a 6-1 defeat to the New York Rangers on Thursday.
