Novak Djokovic is set to compete in the upcoming Paris Games, confirmed by the Serbian Olympic Committee on Tuesday.

After withdrawing from the French Open before the quarterfinals due to a knee injury, Djokovic underwent surgery and expressed his desire to return to competition “as soon as possible.”

According to the Serbian committee, Djokovic has confirmed his participation in Paris, marking his fifth Olympics.

The 37-year-old Djokovic reported that surgery on his right knee was successful.

Tennis matches for the Paris Olympics will begin on July 27 at Roland Garros, the venue for the French Open.

It remains uncertain whether Djokovic will be ready to compete at Wimbledon, where he has claimed seven of his 24 Grand Slam titles. The grass-court tournament starts on July 1.

Djokovic has previously won a bronze medal at the Olympics, achieving this in his first appearance in Beijing in 2008.
