Novak Djokovic has set a new tennis record, previously held by Roger Federer. He’s now the oldest man to be ranked No. 1 in the ATP Tour’s computerized rankings at the age of 36 (turning 37 next month). Djokovic has spent a total of 420 weeks in the top spot, surpassing Federer’s previous record of 310 weeks.

Djokovic also holds the record for the most Grand Slam singles titles in tennis history with 24, surpassing Pete Sampras’ record of 14 and Federer’s 20.

He is currently participating in the Monte Carlo Masters clay-court tournament and is getting ready to defend his title at the French Open starting on May 26.

Djokovic recently split from coach Goran Ivanisevic but has maintained his No. 1 ranking since winning the U.S. Open last September.

In the latest ATP rankings, Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner remains at No. 2, followed by Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Alexander Zverev.

There were no changes in the top five of the WTA women’s rankings, with Iga Świątek at No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka at No. 2, and Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, and Jessica Pegula rounding out the top five.
