Manchester United’s Luke Shaw has expressed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo.
When asked by Sky Sports which player he would entrust with taking a life-saving penalty, Shaw listed Harry Kane, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ultimately, he leaned towards Ronaldo, stating, “Yeah, I think Ronaldo [to take the penalty].”
Regarding Ronaldo’s impact, Shaw affirmed, “Yeah, 100 percent. I think his record speaks for itself. What he’s done over football in the last 15 years is incredible.” He emphasized Ronaldo’s stature as one of the greatest footballers ever and considered it an honor to have shared the pitch with him.
Reflecting on Ronaldo’s professionalism, Shaw remarked, “It was an unbelievable feeling to see him day in, day out and see what he does to reach that top level and, for me, it was so clear to see why he reached that top level for so many years because he was so professional and every day he did everything 100 percent.”
Shaw and Ronaldo were teammates at Manchester United from the summer of 2022 until December 2022 when Ronaldo departed the club by mutual consent.
