Freddy Peralta pitched exceptionally well, striking out 11 batters in six innings, while the Milwaukee Brewers hit three home runs in an 11-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night. The game also saw a bench-clearing incident in the sixth inning.

Gary Sánchez, Willy Adames, and William Contreras all hit home runs for the Brewers, who lead the National League with a 9-3 record. They scored three runs in the second, fifth, and sixth innings to secure the victory.

There was excitement surrounding the game because Milwaukee had traded their ace Corbin Burnes to the Orioles just before spring training in exchange for left-hander DL Hall and infielder Joey Oritz. Hall is set to pitch on Saturday, while Burnes will take the mound on Sunday.

Joey Oritz had an impressive game, recording his first three-hit game in the majors. This included an RBI triple in the second inning, shortly after Sánchez’s two-run homer, and a run-scoring single in the ninth.

Another point of interest in the series was the matchup between two top prospects named Jackson. However, in the opening game, Baltimore’s Jackson Holliday, ranked as the top prospect by MLB Pipeline, struck out in all three of his plate appearances. Milwaukee’s Jackson Chourio, ranked second, also struggled, going 0 for 6 with three strikeouts.
