Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto left the game against the Miami Marlins in the fourth inning on Friday night, two innings after he fouled a pitch off his left knee.

Realmuto suffered a bruise from the foul ball off Austin Kitchen in the second inning.

He limped away and received treatment from a trainer but came back to hit his second RBI single of the game.

With the Phillies leading 7-0, Garrett Stubbs replaced Realmuto in the fourth inning.

Realmuto, a three-time All-Star, had already missed 37 games this season due to soreness in his right knee.
