Paris Saint-Germain is having a flawless start to the season even after Kylian Mbappé left for Real Madrid, thanks to a 3-1 win at Lille in the French league on Sunday.
PSG is at the top of the standings with nine points from three games and has scored 13 goals so far. They began the season with a 4-1 win against Le Havre and then a 6-0 victory over Montpellier.
In the Lille match, Vitinha scored a penalty in the 33rd minute to give PSG the lead, and Bradley Barcola added another goal shortly after. Lille’s Edon Zhegrova scored in the 78th minute, but Randal Kolo Muani secured the win for PSG in stoppage time.
On the same day, Monaco and Lens ended in a 1-1 draw with two late goals. Denis Zakaria scored for Monaco in the 84th minute, and Lens equalized with a penalty from Przemyslaw Frankowski in stoppage time.
Nice won 4-1 against Angers, Le Havre defeated Auxerre 3-1, and Reims beat Rennes 2-1.
On Saturday, Mason Greenwood scored twice in a minute to help Marseille win 3-1 against Toulouse. Greenwood, formerly of Manchester United, now has five goals in the first three Ligue 1 matches, tying Mario Balotelli’s record from 2016 with Nice.
