Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is set to play in Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins after missing the last two games due to an injury to his right hip.
Colts coach Shane Steichen mentioned on Friday that he expected Richardson to take back the starting position since he participated fully in practice all week.
Richardson did not play in the last two games even though he warmed up before each one.
Joe Flacco filled in for Richardson during those games and finished the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 when Richardson got hurt. The 39-year-old Flacco led the Colts to two wins in his three games played.
Richardson was the Colts’ first-round pick in 2023, selected fourth overall. However, injuries have limited him to just eight starts in his career, and he has completed only five of those, with a record of 4-4.
