The top newcomer of the 2023 CFL season, cornerback Qwan’tez Stiggers, is scheduled to meet with the Dolphins on Monday, as announced by his agents at NZone Sports Management Agency.
Stiggers was honored as the standout rookie and an All-Star in the CFL after his impressive performance with the Toronto Argonauts, where he made 53 tackles and five interceptions. He also participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl, competing alongside college prospects aiming to enter the NFL earlier this year.
If Stiggers successfully transitions to the NFL with the Dolphins or any other team, he will be a rare player to do so without having played college football.
Stiggers left Lane College after his father’s passing during his freshman year, and later resumed his playing career in the Fan Controlled Football League in 2023. After a successful tryout, he earned a spot with the Argonauts and now aims to continue his remarkable journey in the professional ranks, starting with Miami.
